Homemade Christmas

My sister and I decided that we wanted a cozy, handmade christmas this year.


To that end, I made up my mind to knit something for everyone.


For some context: I learned basic knitting stitches back in high school, but haven't constructed anything in over 15 years.


After some simple scarves, I feel confident enough to tackle a sweater!

In addition to making gifts, we are engaged in a flurry of baking and small papercraft decorations.


A lot of the anti-consumption involved in our way of celebrating is to protest the over-commercialization of this holiday, but it turns out it's just fun and I enjoy the slow, thoughtful process of knitting.
